MIDLAND, Mich. – Midland Center for the Arts’ Center Stage Theatre recently celebrated another exciting season and honored their volunteer performers and crew with a festive awards banquet. Winners were selected by audiences, award panelists and volunteers.

Those receiving special recognition were:

Outstanding Play: “Peter and the Starcatcher,” directed by Elaine DiFalco Daugherty.

Outstanding Musical: “Disenchanted,” directed by Adam Gardner-Northrop.

Outstanding Ensemble: “Disenchanted,” directed by Adam Gardner-Northrop.

Florence Slagh Curtain Call Award for Best Lead Performance in a Play: Sam Nowak as Boy/Peter in “Peter and the Starcatcher.”

Mahlon E. Sharp Award for Best Supporting Performance in a Play: Steven Holty as Black Stache in “Peter and the Starcatcher.”

Outstanding Featured Performance in a Play: Ryan Sequin as Alf in “Peter and the Starcatcher.”

Outstanding Lead Performance in a Musical: Tara Besso Ell as Snow White in “Disenchanted.”

Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Musical: Danessa Hellus as Sleeping Beauty in “Disenchanted.”

Outstanding Featured Performance in a Musical: Meagan Eager as Little Mermaid/Belle/Rapunzel in “Disenchanted.”

Above and Beyond Volunteer Awards: Nick Alfano, Marie Andrews, Andy Harrington, Sarah Haynes, Patti Koontz and Kristen Sanborn.

The Jo Harrigan Career Award for Dedication to Center Stage Theatre/Choirs: Carol Rumba.

The Caparon Award for Technical Excellence: Mark “Crocodile” Semer.

The Wee Kinderspiel Award for Dedication to Children’s Theater: Laura Allington.
