DRONE & ROBOTICS FESTIVAL

JUN 8 / 10 AM – 4 PM / Barstow Airport / FREE Event

The Matrix Drone Festival is a Midland-first and a unique event that will be held at the Barstow Airport. Free to the public and family friendly, an entire day of drones will be on showcase featuring professional drone pilots that will demonstrate the multitude of capabilities of drones in both large commercial applications as well as today’s consumer market.

MATTHEW MORRISON

Star of stage and screen, Matthew Morrison, has been nominated for Tony, Emmy, and Golden Globe awards. His performance in Hairspray on Broadway and the Tony-winning revival of South Pacific were both met with critical acclaim. Morrison, known for starring as Will Schuester on the hit television show GLEE, will perform a career retrospective, with repertoire including material from Broadway, Glee, and versions from songs off of his albums.

PAPA KISZKA 

JUN 10 / 7 PM / Little Theater

Papa Kiszka, father of 3/4 of the band members known as Greta Van Fleet, performs as part of The Voortex Blues Band during this live podcast performance of That Show with Those Guys. TSwTG consists of Jacob Larsen, Alex the Greek and Cousin Sean with Uncle Rick, and Eric Larsen discussing stupid news and talking to famous people around a metaphorical campfire.

ALAN METCALFE

Before training as an architect, Alan worked as a carpenter, contractor and cabinet-maker, acquiring a lifelong appreciation for craftsmanship and the practical realities of construction. Alan went on to work as lead designer and partner at three Philadelphia firms before opening Metcalfe Architecture & Design in 2001.
