Apollo 50th Anniversary Celebration

Join us as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11’s moon landing!

Saturday, July 20, 2019 | 9 am – 4 pm

On this date, 50 years ago, millions of Americans tuned to their televisions as they watched Neil Armstrong walk along the moon’s surface, stating “one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.” As part of our elebration, we will have special hands-on activities for families throughout the museum. Build a rocket and try to land it on the ‘moon,’ explore the surface of the moon with a crater experiment, learn about the tools scientists use to view the moon and much more!

Cost of event included with museum admission; FREE for members!
