The Hall of Ideas is a permanent interactive exhibition comprised of three levels of colorful and engaging exhibitry. Alden Dow said, "Over all it is a source of ideas to stimulate all ages to create and appreciate the facts and feelings of life." It is a graphic story of the evolution of the ground on which the Center stands. It traces the spiraling evolution of civilization of this area.
Level 1: Restless Earth, Groundworks, Glaciers, Greening
and a Life-size Mastodon
Level 2: Trailblazers, Waterways, Lumberjacks, Farmers, Miners and Chemists
Level 3: The Individual, Balance, Look, Listen, Build, and Envision
Please Note: Museum admissions are valid only for the date purchased and does not allow you access to the rotating galleries on the fourth level.
24 hours prior to the exhibit day, tickets cannot be purchased online. Please call the Ticket Office at 800-523-7649 to purchase advanced museum admissions.
Certain fees apply for online sales. To avoid these fees, please order tickets directly through the Ticket Office by calling 989-631-8250 or 800-523-7649 Monday - Friday 12 noon to 6 pm and Saturdays 12 pm - 4 pm.
