A lifetime of living deserves to be recorded and preserved. While passing on family stories is both enjoyable and beneficial to family history, often the spoken word inadvertently allows for misunderstandings, alterations, and incorrect information. Though each of us has fascinating stories to pass on to future generations, often the hardest part of writing them is getting started! To make the process of recording your life stories easier, the MCHS is pleased to offer a three-day class “Write Your Life!” The class will be taught by Carol Sanford, a local resident and retired professor who will offer unique and specialized ways to get those important stories brought to the surface and put to paper. Carol is an enthusiastic instructor, and her energy and insights will help you bring your personal history into new dimensions, as well as help you put the information onto paper. Class meets Wednesday, November 4 through Friday, November 6, 2009 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Participants are asked to bring a brown-bag lunch each day.
