Cooking: Kitchen Basics
Monday, April 15, 2013, 6pm
AB Dow Classes
You won’t be Rachel Ray or Bobby Flay, but by the end of this one-day class you will have a better understanding of the techniques every home chef should know to feel like a STAR when preparing their family dinner! Topics covered may include: safe knife skills (slicing, dicing, chopping); the difference between and when to use sauté, braise, bake and fry; and cooking sanitation that will keep your family safe and satiated. Cooking equipment (knives, cutting board and maybe some foods) must be supplied by student; a list will be provided.
