Repetitive Throwing
Wednesday, January 23, 2013, 6pm
AB Dow Classes
Repetitive throwing is a technique to help students improve their skills on the potter’s wheel. Not to be
confused with production pottery, this an excellent way to increase the students output of pots while
improving the quality of pieces as well. We will be making bowls, bottles, and any other pieces the student
desires. Simply put, the student will be spending more time on each of these individual forms, so they can
develop proper technique for each of them. Students due need to have fundamental throwing ability before
taking this class.
The studio will be available for working independently outside of class time. Material fee: Clay can be
purchased from the instructor for $ 35, porcelain $ 45. Work will be fired in the new reduction Bailey gas kiln.
