So You Want to Paint?

A course in the formal and fundamental aspects of “putting a picture together”. Class members will explore basic design principles, colortheory, organization of space, and guidelines for strong composition including structuring elements within the picture plane. The goal of the course will be to assist each member in developing a stronger sense of good design, which is invaluable for aspiring painters, draftsmen, or any visual artist working within the two-dimensional realm.
