TED Conference 2010

MATRIX:MIDLAND will screen a live webcast of TED 2010 Conference from February 10 – 13, 2010 in the Midland Center for the Arts Lecture Room. The annual conference in Long Beach brings together the world’s most fascinating thinkers and doers who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes).

TED is a small non-profit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. More than a 1,000 people now attend – indeed, the event sells out a year in advance – and the content has expanded to include science, business, the arts and the global issues facing our world. This year's Conference will explore “What the World Needs Now” Each of the 12 main sessions will be devoted to one key attribute the world needs.
