Welcome, school groups!
Midland Center for the Arts offers Weekday Student Matinee performances for educational groups priced at only $5 per seat. These theatre experiences indulge the imagination while supporting arts (visual, music, dance, etc) and literature curriculum.

You will be seated as a group based on quantity of tickets reserved, timing of reservation and in some cases age of students. Your tickets are non-refundable and must be paid in full 2 weeks prior to the performance. All attendees, regardless of age (including chaperones and bus drivers) must pay admission. Midland Center for the Arts does not provide transportation. If Midland Center cancels the show for any reason, a representative will call the contact person listed on the order with details and possible re-scheduling information. Although reservations are required, you will not be sent individual tickets. Ushers will assist you to the appropriate seating areas.

Proving that writers of Game of Thrones and House of Cards have nothing on ancient Greece, this dramatic, bloody epic depicting the price of ambition will be presented in the round using theatrical mask technique. Born to fulfill the Oracle’s prophecy that he will rise to power, King Oedipus of Thebes is destined to kill his father and marry his mother. Seating on the Little Theater Stage; limited capacity.

The Argentine based company, Che Malambo, excites audiences through precise footwork and rhythmic stomping, drumming of the bombos, and singing and whirling boleadoras (lassos with stones on the end). Presenting a thrilling, percussive dance and music spectacle, the company’s work celebrates the unique South American cowboy tradition of the gaucho.
