• SILLY SPACE PUPPET WORKSHOP
Create your very own space-inspired puppet with MCFTA costume designer Laurelei Horton. You'll also get a quick look at our exhibition, Out of This World: Extraordinary Costumes from Film and Television. There will even be a surprise or two! For Ages 7 & up. ...Space. Sky. Sci-fi.

An all-day event exploring the LaFarge Quarry in Alpena, Michigan, with the resident expert on fossils. Make it a family trip and bring a bucket to take home any fossils you find! Register early – space is limited!

Dr. Etcyl Blair presents a thought-provoking and insightful glimpse into the history of Dow laboratories, punctuated with humorous anecdotes, rare images, and stories of those who were driven by curiosity and guided by science, from founder Herbert H. Dow to present-day chemists.

Gather round the hearth to feel the warmth of memories shared. Join a group of local residents in the Whitman Room of the Herbert D. Doan Midland County History Center as they share memories of yesteryear. Audiences are invited to listen, learn and join in with questions or memories of their own. This wonderful series also serves to preserve our past by recording sessions for the oral history collection. Presented by Midland County Historical Society.
