LIFE STORIES WORKSHOP
A lifetime of living deserves to be recorded and preserved. Retired professor Carol Sanford offers unique and specialized ways to put your important stories to paper for future generations to enjoy! Participants are asked to bring a brown-bag lunch each day.

Private John Loyer of Michigan’s Fighting Fifth
Kyle Bagnall, Chippewa Nature Center’s Manager of Historical Programs, portrays Private John Loyer, a Michigan farm boy who took part in the battle at Spotsylvania Courthouse, one of the bloodiest campaigns of the Civil War. Hear stories of the amazing Anna Etheridge, life in a Union hospital and receiving a homestead claim on a Midland County farm.
