Facility Overview

Whether you are looking for rental space for your arts event,
want to plan a wedding next door at the Dow Gardens and need a
place for your reception, or you are considering using our multiple-site
facilities for a conference or corporate retreat, the following
information should help you decide whether Midland Center
for the Arts or the Heritage Park Historical Site is the right
spot for you.
The Midland Center for the Arts facility
is a total of 220,000 sq.ft., has ample free parking,
is located very close to the downtown area, and houses:
- two theatres, one seating 1,490 and the other seating 395,
- a large museum,
- a lecture hall,
- a professional kitchen,
- numerous multi-use rooms of various sizes, and
- huge, flowing lobby areas.
All wings of our facility are linked with a huge common area between
the theatre lobbies, Garden Room and museum foyer, making it easy
to use the space for registration, hospitality and multiple concurrent
events. See more details of the facility layout below.
Sharing the parking lot with the Center is the regional jewel,
the Dow Gardens, and immediately to the north is the Grace
A. Dow Memorial Library. The library offers additional meeting
spaces and a 266-seat theatre, and the Dow Gardens offers guests
a wonderful way to use their "down time." And if you are
planning a conference in the area, consider our performance
and exhibits calendars for a wide variety of entertainment
opportunities during your guests' stay. Be sure to ask about our
group rates.
Our second campus, Heritage Park,
is close by and offers multiple spaces popular for group meetings,
conferences, intimate performances, lectures, weddings, parties
and company get-togethers. For more information about all that
Heritage Park has to offer, please click
