NEW MIDLAND SYMPHONY DIRECTOR ANNOUNCED!
The MSO is pleased to announce
Dr. Antonia Joy Wilson
as its new Artistic Director
Antonia Joy Wilson has been appointed artistic director/conductor of the Midland Symphony Orchestra (MSO). The public will have an opportunity to meet Dr. Wilson at a special MSO event on Thursday, May 1, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Midland Center for the Arts, 1801 W. St. Andrews Rd., Midland. Admission is free. Refreshments will be served and Dr. Wilson will also unveil the new MSO 2008-09 season line-up and subscription packages.
The MSO has been conducting an extensive international search for the next artistic director to succeed Maestro Carlton R. Woods. Four highly talented finalists competed by conducting a different Symphony concert, and going through an extensive interview process at CMU. Season subscribers and MSO audience members were invited to participate in the final selection process by submitting their comments and suggestions after attending a concert.
