ENCORE! MUSIC THEATRE
CAMELOT April 26 & May 3, 2008 - 8:00 p.m.
April 27, 2008 - 3:00 p.m.
Great mystery surrounds the legend of 6th century Arthur to this day, freshly aroused by the discovery of the "Arthur Stone" in 1998 which renewed the contemporary comparisons between the bright hope of Arthur's Camelot and the Kennedy era. At the heart of the passionate debate is the great human need to believe that a just and brilliant leader will arise in the darkest of times, inspiring new hope and a bright vision for the future. Thus we present Arthur's dream with a fresh perspective
- as the vision of hope arising from darker times, captured in this stunningly beautiful, timeless musical.

An exciting synergy between Music Society and Theatre Guild starts the '07-08 season off as they collaborate to present an updated, contemporary version of Godspell, one of theatre's most popular shows of the past 30 years. Midland Director Denyse Clayton promises a fresh treatment of the newly revised script by Stephen Schwartz that celebrates hope arising from the modern realities of urban poverty, displaying the relevance and timelessness of Christ's teachings. Songs include Turn Back O Man, Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord and Day by Day. The joyful, touching script will capture the hearts of young and old.
