MEN OF MUSIC HOLIDAY CONCERT
PEACE ON EARTH

December 9, 2007
First United Methodist Church - Midland

Keeping with the theme of the concert, the men will sing Dona Nobis Pacem (Grant Us Peace) and Ose Shalom (The One Who Makes Peace) as well as many other traditional holiday favorites such as White Christmas, a unique arrangement of Silent Night by Norman Luboff, and Sleigh Ride. Selections newly arranged by conductor Grace A. Marra, Parade of the Wooden Soldiers and I’ll be Home for Christmas, are also included in the wide variety of songs the audience will thoroughly enjoy.

Experience an hour of beautiful music when the Music Society Chorale presents Simply Schubert, a program featuring a splendid sample of music by Austrian composer Franz Peter Schubert (1797-1828). “Mass No. 2 in G” will be sung by the Music Society chorale with soprano, tenor and bass soloists accompanied by organ. The program finishes with eight of Schubert's wonderful art songs, sung by David and Nancy Young of Midland.
