ABOUT MUSIC SOCIETY
MISSION AND VISION

Music Society of Midland Center for the Arts is a premier, volunteer musical arts organization serving mid-Michigan. It provides volunteers and audiences with exciting, quality musical events, utilizing professionals to educate and develop its talented, community-based participants.

Our vision is that the Music Society consistently provides participants and audiences with "goosebumps." AWARDS

Annually, Music Society recognizes performance and volunteer excellence through multiple awards. Music Theatre awards are nominated and voted on by a select group of qualified volunteers in performing categories. Volunteer participants also select one of their peers to be recognized for excellence in volunteer contribution. The Jo Harrigan Award (see below) is an award given to a volunteer who has exhibited a lifelong commitment to Music Society. Informal letters of commendation are accepted by anyone for the community who wishes to recommend someone for this award. Scholarships are available for Youth Honors Choral Program. Once a child has been accepted into a choir, a parent or guardian simply submits a letter describing the financial need and requests either a full or partial scholarship for the annual fees. Scholarships may also be requested for the adult choirs’ annual dues.

JO HARRINGTON AWARD
Nominate a Music Society volunteer who has exhibited long-term dedication and participation in many aspects and areas to further the mission and vision of Music Society at the Midland Center for the Arts. Contact us for a nomination form. More about the Jo Harrigan Award...
