SCIENCE AND ART CLASSES/CAMPS

The Summer Science and Art Camp has a long tradition at the Alden B. Dow Musuem of Science and Art as an education program for young people and adults. The program provides creative opportunity for youth during the summer vacation and adults during the winter. The objective is to nurture awareness, cultivate talent and teach correct methods in science and the visual arts. Along with the new science classes, we offer courses in both two- and three-dimensional media, all while providing the opportunity to meet new friends and have a great time creating!

Registration typically takes place in April with classes beginning in June and December with classes beginning in January.

SUMMER ART FAIR

June 7, 8, 2008 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
(Always the first weekend in June)
On the grounds of the MCFTA and Wes St. Andrews Road

Annual outdoor art fair featuring food vendors, Children's Corner, street musicians and over 140 artists.

An annual November event

Held in the MCFTA lobby this event showcases beautiful arts and crafts.

VINTAGE EVENING

Annual Fall event

This popular event, presented by Eastman Party Store of Midland and Alden B. Dow Museum of Science & Art (ABDM), takes place in the museum’s art galleries and includes a sampling of a large selection of wines, international cheeses, plus delectable hors d’oeuvres. A list describing featured wines will be provided and attendees will be able to order wines from the evening’s offerings at special discounted prices. Tickets are available in the fall at Eastman Party Store or at the MCFTA Ticket Office.
